The 2025 draft order is official.
1. Tennessee Titans – QB Cam Ward (Miami)
Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker stated that the team “won’t pass up on a generational talent with the first pick in the NFL Draft,” but Tennessee needs a quarterback, and Cam Ward is the best in the class.
2. Cleveland Browns – ED Abdul Carter (Penn State)
With Myles Garrett asking for a trade, edge rusher becomes a massive need for the Browns. Abdul Carter is arguably the best prospect in the 2025 Draft and is the best chance for Cleveland to replace Garrett’s production.
3. New York Giants – QB Shedeur Sanders (Colorado)
Giants GM Joe Schoen giants and HC Brian Daboll will be fighting for their jobs next season, and the best way to delay the inevitable is selecting a QB at the top of the draft. Even if this was not the case, the Giants need a QB, and Shedeur Sanders would be a great selection.
4. New England Patriots – RB Ashton Jeanty (Boise State)
The Patriots have massive needs at wide receiver and the offensive line, but I believe these will be addressed in free agency. Mike Vrabel has stated how important the run game is to success, and with the Patriots not having that primary running back on the roster, Ashton Jeanty could fill that role. Adding a running back of Jeanty’s caliber will take pressure off 2nd-year QB Drake Maye and give Vrabel his “Derrick Henry.”
5. Jacksonville Jaguars – CB/WR Travis Hunter (Colorado)
Travis Hunter sliding a bit in the draft should not happen, but it is also not surprising due to the needs of the teams at the top of the draft. The Patriots and the Browns could go with Hunter, but in this mock draft, the Jaguars benefit. I believe Jacksonville will play Hunter primarily at the corner because that is the more significant need, but it will be hard for new head coach Liam Coen not to put Hunter at WR every play.
6. Las Vegas Raiders – CB Will Johnson (Michigan)
The Raiders have had issues at cornerback for a while, and with Pete Carroll becoming the head coach, it would not be surprising to see Las Vegas address that early.
7. New York Jets – DT Mason Graham (Michigan)
The Jets have options at this selection, but going with the best defensive player available would make sense. The duo of Mason Graham and Quinnen Williams would make the Jets DT group arguably the best in the NFL, and as Aaron Glenn knows from his days in Detroit, games are won in the trenches.
8. Carolina Panthers – ED Mike Green (Marshall)
Defensive line needs to be the Panthers’ focus in the first. Mason Graham would have been the perfect selection at 8, but with him gone, the next best defensive lineman available is Mike Green. He is an immediate upgrade for Carolina and can be a real game-wrecker in the NFL.
9. New Orleans Saints – WR Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona)
The Saints are another team that should be going with the best player available, and lucky for them, Tetairoa McMillan was still on the board. New Orleans has been missing a bigger receiver since Michael Thomas’ departure, and with Kellen Moore potentially becoming the next head coach, McMillan would perfectly fill that role.
10. Chicago Bears – OL Will Campbell (LSU)
The Bears going with offensive line at 10 makes too much sense, and Will Campbell has fallen right into their lap. Ben Johnson knows the value of a great offensive line, and adding a future captain in Will Campbell would be perfect, no matter where on the line he plays.
11. San Francisco 49ers – OT Josh Simmons (Ohio State)
Another team that needs offensive line help is the 49ers, and they get arguably the best tackle in the draft with Josh Simmons. The main question is going to Simmons’ injury, but if the 49ers see no issues, selecting him at 11 would not be surprising.
12. Dallas Cowboys – WR Luther Burden III (Missouri)
Luther Burden may not be a team’s number-one receiver in the NFL, but the Cowboys would be bringing in a much-needed weapon for this offense. Burden’s run after the catch ability is impressive, and he would thrive next to Ceedee Lamb.
If the Cowboys trade away star edge rusher Micah Parsons, Dallas should pivot away from the offense and draft an edge rusher here.
13. Miami Dolphins – OT Kelvin Banks Jr. (Texas)
The Dolphins offensive line needs significant help this offseason. They could go with whoever is the best available O-lineman, and in this case, it is Kelvin Banks Jr. He can be the long-term replacement for Terron Armstead, or if the Dolphins decide to move on from the veteran tackle, Banks can play right away.
14. Indianapolis Colts – TE Tyler Warren (Penn State)
The Colts season did not go as planned, and if they stay committed to Anthony Richardson, getting him another weapon makes sense. Tyler Warren is an outstanding tight end and would be the perfect target for Richardson.
15. Atlanta Falcons – ED Mykel Williams (Georgia)
Mykel Williams is one of the most interesting edge rushers in the class. He will need development, but he has the potential to be a top defensive lineman in the NFL. This may be a risky selection for the Falcons, but this defensive line needs talent, and Williams will bring that.
16. Arizona Cardinals – G Tyler Booker (Alabama)
With the departure of offensive line coach Klayton Adams and potential lineman leaving in free agency, the Cardinals line will regress next season if upgrades are not made. Tyler Booker may be the safest pick in the draft, but that should not take away from his talent. He will be a staple of this Cardinals offensive line for years to come, and it would not be surprising if he becomes a captain sooner rather than later.
17. Cincinnati Bengals – DT Walter Nolen (Ole Miss)
The Bengals need a long-term answer at defensive tackle, and with their run defense being a weakness, Walter Nolen could be the perfect option.
Wide receiver could be an option here if Tee Higgins leaves in free agency, but I’m not sure the Bengals will invest another first-round pick on a pass catcher, even if Higgins leaves.
18. Seattle Seahawks – OT/G Armand Membou (Missouri)
Guard is arguably the top need for the Seahawks, and Armand Membou can be just that. Membou has played for most of his college career, and that will be important if injuries occur on Seattle’s offensive line, but with how much of a need guard is, sliding him into that spot makes sense.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – ED Shemar Stewart (Texas A&M)
It seems like edge rusher is a top need for the entire NFC South. The Buccaneers have a great DT tandem with Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey, but they lack talent at edge. Shemar Stewart has extreme potential, and adding him to Tampa Bay’s defensive line would be a scary thought for the rest of the division.
20. Denver Broncos – TE Colston Loveland (Michigan)
The Broncos offense did well in 2024, but upgrades need to be made, and with Colston Loveland still on the board, Sean Payton won’t be able to resist. Loveland would be a great security blanket for Bo Nix going into year 2, and adding another pass catcher would elevate this offense
21. Pittsburgh Steelers – WR Emeka Egbuka (Ohio State)
Whoever the Steelers QB is in 2025, Pittsburgh needs to upgrade the receiver room. George Pickens has been inconsistent, and there is no WR2 on the roster. Emeka Egbuka would be great next to Pickens and bring that consistency when Pickens is having a down game.
22. Los Angeles Chargers – WR Matthew Golden (Texas)
Another team that needs a pass catcher is the Chargers. If Colston Loveland were still available, he would be the obvious selection for the Chargers’ pick. With him already selected and wide receiver talent beginning to drop, Mathew Golden is the top remaining wide receiver available.
23. Green Bay Packers – ED Nic Scourton (Texas A&M)
The Packers have a good defensive line, and Nic Scourton would be the final piece. I would not be surprised if Green Bay tries to trade for Myles Garrett, but if that does not happen, edge rusher makes sense here.
24. Minnesota Vikings – DT Kenneth Grant (Michigan)
In this scenario, I have the Vikings dealing with the interior offensive line in free agency. I was between cornerback and defensive tackle here, but with Kenneth Grant still on the board, I doubt the Vikings will pass him up. Grant’s dominance in run defense and potential in pass rush would be a massive improvement at DT for Minnesota.
25. Houston Texans – OT/G Grey Zabel (North Dakota State)
The Texans fired offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik after their playoff loss, and in my opinion, that was the wrong move. Houston’s offensive line was terrible, limiting what Slowik could do. Regardless, the Texans made that move, and improvements at guard need to be made. Grey Zabel’s impressive Senior Bowl performance should skyrocket his draft stock into the first round. He can be anywhere on the offensive line, but he would play guard for Houston.
26. Los Angeles Rams – OT Josh Conerly Jr. (Oregon)
Depending on how the offseason goes, the Rams may be without their two starting tackles going into next season. Even if Los Angeles can retain their tackles, they do not have a long-term answer, but Josh Conerly could be just that.
27. Baltimore Ravens – S Malaki Starks (Georgia)
Malaki Starks being available at 27 is surprising but not out of the question. For many of the prior picks, safety was just never as necessary, resulting in Starks dropping right into the Ravens’ laps. Adding another talented safety would allow Baltimore to use Kyle Hamilton all over the field and have him thrive again in this defense.
28. Detroit Lions – ED Donovan Ezeiruaku (Boston College)
The Lions will be another team in for Myles Garrett this offseason, but if Detroit can not make that happen, edge will be a massive need for this team. Aiden Hutchinson is coming off a brutal injury, and the Lions need another threat on the other side of the defensive line. Ezeiruaku would be a great compliment to Hutchinson and would add speed that the Lions do not have.
29. Washington Commanders – WR Jack Bech (TCU)
The Commanders could go with offensive line here, but they also need a wide receiver next to Terry Mclaurin. Jack Bech had a fantastic Senior Bowl performance, and the first round should not be out of the question. He would be the perfect slot receiver for the Commanders and is a great blocker.
30. Buffalo Bills – ED Jack Sawyer (Ohio State)
Once again, the Bills were one game away from the Super Bowl, but the Chiefs offense was too much for them in the AFC Championship. One of the main reasons for this loss was that the Bills defensive line struggled against a sub-par Chiefs offensive line. Buffalo needs to improve in this area, and Jack Sawyer could be a great option here. Sawyer may not have the highest potential compared to other prospects, but he can make a difference in big games and plays with real effort.
31. Kansas City Chiefs – OT Aireontae Ersery (Minnesota)
Speaking of the Chiefs’ sub-par offensive line, this group got exposed in the Super Bowl. Yes, the Eagles have an excellent defensive line, but it was still surprising how bad the offensive line was. With Trey Smith potentially leaving in free agency, the Chiefs need to add talent to this O-line, and selecting offensive tackle Aireontae Ersery would be a good start.
32. Philadelphia Eagles – LB Jalon Walker (Georgia)
Tell me if you have heard this before: The Eagles select a defensive player from Georgia who has fallen in the draft. Jalon Walker is very athletic and can play edge, but he will need development in the NFL. With the Eagles, Walker would fit perfectly into Vic Fangio’s defense.
