Saints try to play spoiler in Week 18.
New Orleans Saints: Trending Down
The New Orleans Saints are about as down as any team in the NFL currently. They have looked like the worst team in the league over the last two weeks after being outscored 59-10 against the Packers and Raiders. With little to play for but pride and to play spoiler, the Saints will again turn to rookie QB Spencer Rattler who will try and replicate the first half he had against the Raiders last week. In terms of spoilers, the Saints could knock the rival Bucs out of the playoffs with a win (and a win by Atlanta) or stop Mike Evans’ 1,000 yard season streak if they hold him under 75 yards receiving. Other than that I’m sure most of us are just wanting to move on from this season, which has been the worst for the team record-wise since 2005.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Trending Up
The Bucs are in full control of the NFC South once again, and will be in the playoffs with a win on Sunday. Thanks to the Falcons doing what they do best last week, the Buccaneers look to make it four straight division championships with a win over the Saints. Baker Mayfield is having a career year and rookie Bucky Irving has been a revelation at running back. Receiver Mike Evans needs just 75 yards to secure his 11th straight 1,000 yard season, a mark he has not yet missed in his career. Expect a heavy dose of Evans early and a Buccaneers squad going all out to try and secure their spot in the postseason.
