Day 2 of the NFL Draft is over, and New Orleans Saints selected Louisville QB Tyler Shough at No. 40, Texas DE Vernon Broughton at No. 71 and Virginia safety Jonas Sanker at No. 93

The Saints hired a young offensive minded HC and he drafted a QB he fell in love with.
Didn’t get the guys I wanted but at least it’s something that’ll be interesting and exciting to watch. That hasn’t been the case lately.

Jonas Sanker to the Saints. Between him and Justin Reid, the Saints are going to have some hard-hitting safeties.
Definitely expect him to make an immediate impact on special teams while working his way up the depth chart.

Saints draft so far is fine. They are on track to make all their picks, haven’t traded up, or burned future assets. I’d have preferred a trade down but this shows they know they are in a rebuild and future assets should be off limits

After doing research, I actually really love the Vernon Broughton pick. Bo Davis guy, and i absolutely trust Bo Davis on anything to do with Defensive Line. One of the best DL coaches in the NFL!
