Davis was most recently the defensive line coach for LSU.
The New Orleans Saints staff is nearly complete, and over on the defensive side of the ball, the team has made a concerted effort to add college experience. The hires of Peter Sirmon and Terry Joseph represent this goal, and today, per Luke Johnson, the Saints have done it again with the hiring of LSU defensive line coach Bo Davis.
The #Saints are expected to hire Bo Davis to be their defensive line coach, according to a league source, adding another coach from the college ranks.
Davis most recently worked as the DL coach at LSU and is considered one of the NCAA’s better DL coaches.

Player development is a massive focus for the Saints this offseason, and with the 2025 NFL Draft having one of the best defensive line groups in recent memory, why not bring in one of the top defensive line coaches in college football. Davis has had defensive line success wherever he has gone and has been great in developing his players. Like with Sirmon and Joseph, Davis was also vital in LSU’s recruiting.
Improving this Saints defensive line is vital to any success this team will have, and Bo Davis is a perfect hire to lead that job. Getting a defensive tackle, in particular a nose tackle, and at least one edge rusher is a necessity in this year’s draft. New Orleans is hiring some who scouted some of these draft prospects in college, possibly coached them, and knows how to get the best out of them.
