A good depth piece for New Orleans.
The New Orleans Saints have made some great moves so far in free agency, and although there could be more to be made, now is also the time for teams to make some smaller moves. The first big waves of free agency have passed, and now depth can be found throughout the available players. With the Saints not being able to sign expensive free agents to fix all their needs, cheap low-risk depth can be vital to any success, and recently, the New Orleans has done that by signing Velus Jones Jr, per Jeremy Fowler.
Wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. is signing with the #Saints, per source. Former third-round pick by Chicago was last with Carolina.

Jones Jr. is a former 3rd round pick by the Chicago Bears, and he has been used as wide reciever, running back, and kick returner. This versatility is always good to have on a roster, and although he has struggles so far since being drafted, there is still some potential there. This could also just be a signing where the player is on the team until the 53 man roster is finalized.
As seen last year with all the WR injuries the Saints dealt with, having some depth in that position is a good thing to have.
