The New Orleans Saints are reportedly shifting around their roster in wake of Michael Thomas’ injury.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the team has signed wide receiver Marquez Callaway to its practice squad and placed Thomas on injured reserve.
Fans reacted to the news on Tuesday.
“Another year, another Michael Thomas IR stint,” a user said.
“Her: I need a man that don’t play no games … Me:” another joked.
“he’s always on the IR,” a fan replied.
“Callaway was at the facility yesterday. Played in 14 games for the Saints last year, 7 career touchdowns,” shared Katherine Terrell.
“Certified bag stealer,” tweeted Danny Bets.
“[injuries] and piss poor QB play robbed him,” another fan commented.
“The down fall of Michael Thomas is heartbreaking.”
Thomas has played in a combined 20 games over the last four seasons after being considered one of the most reliable targets in football in the first half of his career.
Hopefully the knee only keeps him out for the minimum of four games.
