Edwards-Helaire is a 2x Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs and played a major role in the 2019 LSU championship team. As a rookie, the versatile back had 1,100 yards of total offense and 5 touchdowns. At just 25 years old, Edwards-Helaire has plenty more to offer and a change of scenery may revitalize the young back’s career.
The Saints have been looking for a running back to complement veteran Alvin Kamara and eventually be his successor. While second year back Kendre Miller has had flashes, his ability to stay on the field remains a concern. Edwards-Helaire a similar game to Kamara and is in an offense that can utilize his strengths.
