Another former offensive staffer could be on his way to Seattle.
With Kellen Moore hired as head coach, the New Orleans Saints are set to bring in a nearly entirely new coaching staff. Even before the new coach came in, GM Mickey Loomis explained in his press conference that the team would allow all their coaches to seek new opportunities. This was seen as Klint Kubiak was hired as the offensive coordinator of the Seahawks, and he is bringing much of his former Saints staff. John Benton, Andrew Janocko, and Michael Byrne followed Kubiak to Seattle, and now, the Saints have allowed Senior Offensive Assistant Rick Dennison to speak with the Seahawks, per Ian Rapoport.
The #Saints have given permission for Senior Offensive Assistant Rick Dennison to speak to the #Seahawks, per me and @MikeGarafolo.
Dennison, a respected assistant, came to New Orleans with Klint Kubiak and is expected to join him in Seattle if the sides can find a deal now… pic.twitter.com/np81GvjtN1

This is not a surprising move by Kubiak to take his staffers with him, and this will probably continue. As of now, the Saints have already decided to keep WR coach Keith Williams, so he is staying on Kellen Moore’s staff. However, past him, every other offensive coach can potentially leave. This is similar to the defensive side, and we have already seen a number of Saints defensive coaches leave for lateral moves. The New Orleans Saints want to give Kellen Moore full autonomy over coach decisions, and letting former staffers leave for lateral moves is the first step.
