For the second year in a row the New Orleans Saints are moving to a new offensive system. Even before New Orleans hired Kellen Moore, the writing was on the wall. Klint Kubiak saw it and jetted to the Seattle Seahawks.
Seeing that he brought a staff with him to New Orleans and it’s only been a year, it makes sense that Kubiak take many of those guys to the pacific northwest with him.
Quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko has already followed and it appears Rick Dennison could be next in line. Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Saints have granted Dennison permission to speak with the Seahawks.
The expectation is this is Dennison’s preferred destination, as long as a deal can be reached.
Like Janocko, Dennison was a part of Kubiak’s staff with the Minnesota Vikings. Denison’s connection to the Kubiak tree runs deeper than Klint. Dennison was on staff with Gary Kubiak as well from 1995 to 2005 and 2010 to 2016, then 2019 and 2020.
The Kubiak’s and Dennison have 20 seasons worth of experience working together. It would make sense that Kubiak would want to retain Dennison’s services.
