The running back doesn’t speak on social media much, but he had this to say about his former interim head coach.
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara does not post on social media very often, but when he does, it is usually significant. Last October, he took to Twitter/X to dispel any trade rumors.
I ain request a trade.. so that’s a lie. I’m in an orange robe on the way to Knoxville.. #WhoDat

A few days later, on October 22, Kamara inked a two-year contract extension that would keep him with the Black and Gold until the end of the 2026 season. The next day, he would respond to Abita Beer, who offered him a lifetime supply of beer.
“Do you need my address… How we do this?” The running back said.
Kamara would get his lifetime ID the next week. He would thank the brewery on Twitter.
“Hey @theabitabeer, thanks for dropping off my lifetime ID,” Kamara said. “Can’t wait to fill my coolers up with… LOVE. FOREVER ⚜️”
Yesterday, Kamara went on Twitter/X and expressed who he’d want as the team’s next head coach.
Aite my vote for head coach rhyme wit Fizzi…

It’s Darren Rizzi. The two obviously share a close connection, as Rizzi named Kamara a team captain after taking over for Dennis Allen. Then not even 15 minutes later, the running back sent out another tweet defending his decision.
Ion really speak too much football. Especially in the offseason. But it be funny hearing why yall think a coach should get a job or not. But then again.. the last time some yall played organized anything was last night on 2k. Can’t een get ya best friend to pass you the ball at…

Rizzi made several changes while serving as the interim head coach. Along with naming Kamara a team captain, he made position groups sit together in the locker room again, something that went away during COVID. Todd Grantham, the defensive line coach, was moved to senior advisor for defensive coordinator Joe Woods, and Brian Young was named as his replacement.
The Saints have already conducted their in-person interview with Rizzi on last Friday. More coaching candidates were expected to be interviewed later this week, but extreme winter weather in New Orleans has caused those interviews to be delayed. At the time of writing this, the new interview dates have yet to be set.
