New Orleans could be at risk of losing one of the league’s rising offensive play callers after just one season.
Current New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who is still under contract with the team, is scheduled to interview with the Cleveland Browns for their vacant OC position later today.

Klint Kubiak, the son of Gary Kubiak, who is the mentor of current Browns HC Kevin Stefanski, served as the offensive quality control coach for the Minnesota Vikings from 2013-2014, while Stefanski was the assistant QB coach and TE coach. They also spent the 2019 campaign together during a second stint in Minnesota, when Klint was the QB coach and Stefanski was the OC.

Kubiak put together some impressive tape in Week 11’s 35-14 victory over Cleveland, where his offense racked up 480 total yards (266 receiving, 214 rushing) against the league’s 9th-ranked total defense through 10 weeks. This performance likely played a key role in the Browns’ initial interest in Kubiak, along with his connections to the staff, as he made a strong first impression as a full-time play caller.
I still believe Kubiak deserves a second season in the Big Easy, but as his interview with the Seattle Seahawks looms and outside interest continues to grow, it’s looking more likely that New Orleans could potentially lose their once-called savior after just one season. That said, it’s worth noting that the Saints could have denied these interviews.
What are your thoughts on the current situation, and who would you like to see replace Kubiak if he’s ultimately pried away from New Orleans by a deal too good to refuse?
