Ewers, 22, threw for 3,472 yards and 32 touchdowns during his final season with the Longhorns, leading them to the National Championship game. The Texas quarterback has thrown 9,128 yards and 68 touchdowns over his career.
The Saints have met with Ewers multiple times throughout March, including a meeting at the NFL Combine and a dinner New Orleans hosted with multiple Texas players.
New Orleans is searching for their future quarterback and has been doing their homework on various quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft. While Kellen Moore continues to mention veteran Derek Carr as the starter for 2025, the Saints are looking for their answer for the future.
Quinn Ewers is the first reported quarterback being scheduled for a top-30 visit, but New Orleans has met with Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart, Miami’s Cam Ward, and Syracuse’s Kyle McCord in various settings.
Ewers works quickly and has faced high competition in the SEC. While not the most talented arm in the draft, the consistency and willingness of the Texas quarterback make him an interesting candidate for the Saints.
