This week will be another tough one for fantasy points.
Another week of injury hurdles for the New Orleans Saints as they prepare for their battle against the Green Bay Packers. Fantasy points for the Saints will be very minimal if you have any of the starters. Adjusting your line-up will be very tough. But let’s take look at what possible points can be made this week.
Derek Carr- Sit
Derek Carr’s status is now clear for Monday’s game against the Green Bay Packers as he has been ruled him out, but Coach Rizzi also has dismissed speculation about Carr being shut down for the season. Rizzi emphasized that Carr would likely need to practice fully first to have any chance of return to the starting lineup.
Spencer Rattler- Start
Spencer Rattler will start at quarterback for the New Orleans Saints on Monday against the Green Bay Packers. This decision comes after Derek Carr remains sidelined with a hand injury. Carr’s participation in Monday’s game is highly doubtful, paving the way for Rattler to lead the offense. Jake Haener will be the backup quarterback. Having Rattler start is the BEST option as the performance from Haener last week was not impressive.
Alvin Kamara- Sit
Saints coach Darren Rizzi has already stated on Thursday that Alvin Kamara was unlikely to play in Monday’s game against the Green Bay Packers and as of Saturday, Kamara was ruled out to play on Monday.
Kendre Miller- Start
Kendre Miller rushed for 46 yards on nine attempts and failed to catch his only target in Sunday’s loss to the Commanders. He saw increased carries after Alvin Kamara’s injury and will be the lead back on Monday night in Kamara’s absence.
Marquez Valdes- Scantling- Sit
Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling missed practice again Friday due to illness, according to Mike Triplett. Valdes-Scantling was previously listed with a chest injury on Thursday. As of Saturday, he was ruled out for Monday night’s matchup.
