The New Orleans Saints are riding high after starting off the season 2-0 with a pair of 40-point performances against the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. They look to continue this dominance into Week 3 and Week 4 when they take on one of their tougher opponents in the Philadelphia Eagles and then their division-rival Atlanta Falcons.
These two teams will be in their own matchup on “Monday Night Football,” which allows Saints fans to do some pre-emptive scouting for both teams in one game. We’ll get to see what Jalen Hurts, Kirk Cousins, and their supporting casts are made of. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 16. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and streamed on FuboTV (try it free).
According to BetMGM, the odds say that the Saints are the underdogs against Philadelphia, as they come in at +2 in the spread and +115 on the money line. Depending on how this game pans out between the Eagles and Falcons, those lines may change to reflect whichever outcome occurs. Philly may not look quite so daunting after the final whistle.
We will see how this game pans out, as it could shift the perspectives of media and fans in the favor of the Saints or Eagles. The Saints have had a little bit of a tough time with the Eagles lately, losing two of their last three meetings, however the Saints have a 3-2 advantage in their last five and 6-4 advantage in their last ten going back to 2007.
