Taysom Hill has been one of the most dangerous players on the New Orleans Saints, but a knee injury forced him to leave Week 13’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. An undrafted free agent, Hill made his mark in the league by establishing himself as arguably the league’s most unique offensive weapon. Making a name for himself as a quarterback, tight end, running back, and special teams ace, the BYU product has been one of the bright spots on the Saints offense throughout the season.
Unfortunately, he won’t return in Week 13 and could be gone for quite some time. During the fourth quarter, Hill carried the ball and took a helmet to his knee. The NFL’s Swiss army knife went down and was quickly carted off. As of this posting, we don’t know the severity of the injury, but it’s safe to say that it doesn’t look good.

Taysom Hill Carted Off After Gruesome Knee Injury
The Taysom Hill injury in the latest in a seemingly endless barrage of ailments for the New Orleans Saints. After coming out of the gate hot with two dominant victories, the team dropped seven straight games while enduring injuries to Chris Olave, Erik McCoy, Derek Carr, Rashid Shaheed, and seemingly half the defense. Hill himself missed some time but ultimately returned to the field in late October.
If this is the end of Hill’s season, he’ll finish the year with 34 carries for 268 yards and six touchdowns while adding another 18 receptions for 150 yards. As if that wasn’t enough, he also completed two of his four passes for 21 yards.
With Taysom Hill sidelined to injury, the Saints have no choice but to give more carries to running backs Alvin Kamara and Kevin Austin. Kamara, fresh off a major extension, will continue to receive one of the largest workloads in football, regardless of what happens with the Saints dwindling playoff chances.
