The New Orleans Saints had another putrid game on offense on Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
They couldn’t do anything through the first three quarters and looked to be a mess. It resulted in a 31-24 loss that dropped their record to 3-4.
One play that stood out was when quarterback Derek Carr threw a deep pass to Chris Olave, who was nowhere near the ball. It led to Carr being really frustrated with Olave as he was coming off the field.
Saints head coach Dennis Allen was asked about that play by the media on Friday and confirmed that it was Olave’s fault. He didn’t run the route right, which is why Carr threw the ball out of bounds.
The chemistry between Carr and Olave is clearly still a work in progress. Hopefully, the two can work on it throughout the rest of this season since the Saints still have 10 games left.
Their next game will be on Oct. 29 against the Indianapolis Colts.
