Baltimore runs through the Chargers.
It’s Monday and you know what that means, Monday Night Football. This week’s matchup is an AFC showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Chargers. The game starts off with a touchdown quickly, as the Chargers go down the field and score a touchdown on their first drive of the game. The Chargers kick a field goal to add to their total and take a 10-0 lead. The Ravens won’t go away easy though, as they get on the scoreboard to make it a 10-7 game with 3 minutes left in the first half. Late in the second quarter the Ravens strike again, as Lamar Jackson hits Rashod Bateman for a 40- yard touchdown with 32 seconds left in the first half. The Chargers, on the next drive went down the field and kicked a field goal with 2 seconds left, to go into the second half down 13-14.
The second half scorning starts with each team kicking a field goal in the third quarter. This was the only scoring that took place in the third quarter, which means the Ravens had a 17-16 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Ravens dominated the fourth quarter scoring 2 touchdowns and really extending their lead on the Chargers. The nail in the coffin was a 51-yard touchdown run by Justice Hill to give the Ravens a 30-16 lead with 7 minutes left in the game. The Chargers score one late touchdown that makes the score look close, but they ultimately got outplayed, especially in the second half and lose the Ravens 30-23.
The final score doesn’t do the Ravens justice, they were dominant from the end of the second quarter to late in the fourth quarter. Lamar Jackson made plays with his arms and legs, while getting help in the run game from Derrick Henry and Justice hill. The Ravens move to 8-4 and are in a good place in the AFC playoff race. The Charges are still in a good place as well even after the loss, because as long as you have Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert, you should be alright.
