New Orleans gets shut out in Lambeau.
Last night’s Monday Night Football matchup showed off two NFC teams on completely different paths, in The New Orleans Saints and The Green Bay Packers. This game went exactly how most thought it would as the Packers blowout the Saints on prime time 34-0. The Saints are the first team this season to get shoutout, as their record falls to 5-10, and will seemingly only get worse. This game was never close, Josh Jacobs and the Packers did whatever they wanted to do against the Saints defense. They went up and down the field with ease on the Saints with little to no resistance. If you watched this game from start to finish you are a true football fanatic, because this was over as soon as it started. The talent disparity was on full display last night, as it just looked like the Packers were toying with the Saints. The Packers basically benched Josh Jacobs after the first half and gave the majority of the carries to their second string running back, Emanuel Wilson. He also had his way with the Saints defense as he had 11 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown. Hopefully the Saints brass watched this game and realized, real changes need to be made to this current roster, because the Saints were just outclassed in every way.
This was also a frustrating game to watch because, some of the Saints young players didn’t get the runway they should gotten to make plays in this game. I’m really looking at Kendre Miller who only had 8 carries in this game, which is extremely odd. The Saints main focus now should be getting their young and promising players out on the field and see what they can do. The idea of giving Jamal Williams carries in an actual game should be over, give those carries to Kendre and see what he can do. Hopefully, with their being only 2 games left in the season the Saints lean on their young players and see what kind of promise they can carry over to next season.
