Jordan’s new deal provides the team with more cap space.
With all the cap maneuvers the New Orleans Saints needed to do this offseason, one that was most expected was a potential contract restructure with Cam Jordan. There was a small chance that if this agreement was not made, the Saints legend could have been on another team in 2025. The good news was Jordan did rework his deal to stay with the team, and today, those numbers were released.
Per a report by Nick Underhill, Jordan’s new cap number would be under $10 million.
Cam Jordan’s new contract lowers his cap number to below $10 million, I’m told. Was previously set to count as $20 million against the cap. A significant savings for the Saints. pic.twitter.com/TEJ7wThQap

As noted above, this is a huge cut that will now save the Saints more than $10 million dollars in cap space. Per Over the Cap, Jordan’s cap hit will be down to $9.8 million in 2025. His contract is still set to expire in 2026, and if Jordan does leave/retire after this season, the dead cap hit will be a massive $18,760,000. The Saints will probably address Jordan’s contract again this time next season but expect that after the 2025/26 season.
