Former NFL quarterback Drew Brees wishes his health cooperated with him towards the end of his career.
Brees retired after the 2020 season but if it were up to him, he would’ve played a few more seasons.
“If my right arm was still working I probably would’ve played another three years,” Brees said.
Brees retired after an illustrious 20-year career in the NFL. He led the New Orleans Saints to a Super Bowl title during the 2009 season and numerous other playoff berths.
Fans feel awful for Brees since he was still playing at a high level when he retired.
“This. This is what hurts the most as a Saints fan! He deserved a proper finish to his career. Not a look back in a 10% filled Superdome,” one fan tweeted.
“Don’t start sir. I don’t want to think about how different this franchise could’ve been if he stayed for just one more year,” another fan tweeted.
“This man will forever be missed from the sport,” another fan tweeted.
“If my right arm was still working I probably would’ve played another three years.”
