The New Orleans Saints had a surprise addition to their injury report on Saturday. Unfortunately, it happened to a player that they really can’t afford to lose.
On Saturday, the Saints announced that they have added wide receiver Michael Thomas to their injury report with an illness. He is now being listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Thomas has played in every game this season after playing in just 14 games between 2020 and 2022 with various injuries. Through seven games he has 34 receptions for 371 yards and one touchdown, putting him in the top three on the team in all three categories.
As you might imagine, Saints fans aren’t thrilled with the news:
“Pls be ok I’ll lend him my immune system,” one user replied.
“IM ABOUT TO HAVE A BREAKDOWN,” a second declared.
“I HATE EVERYTHING,” wrote a third.
It’s worth noting that Michael Thomas hasn’t been ruled out of tomorrow’s game at this time. But given the bad luck that they’ve had with Thomas over the past few years, Saints fans have every reason to feel like the football gods are working against them.
We’ll find out for sure in a few hours.
