Michael Thomas seems to have some beef with New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr right now.
Thomas blames Carr for a bad pass that ended his season during the Saints’ Week 10 loss against the Minnesota Vikings. He took a massive hit from cornerback Akayleb Evans after he had to reach too high for a ball that was overthrown.
“Well if I didn’t get set up by a bad ball I probably would’ve had a light little 1k yards this year but could of should of I know I get it lol,” Thomas tweeted.

Carr was recently asked about this on a podcast and was super classy in response. He wishes that Thomas handled it a bit differently but that’s out of his hands.
“I will start by saying this: I love Mike T, I really do,” Carr said on Two G’s in a Pod, (first transcribed by Nola.com). “I hope Mike finds what he’s looking for. I hope he gets everything he wants in life, because I do love Mike. But at that moment, I didn’t really like it. Just call me, bro. To say this, to say all these things, I felt like we were doing a middle school thing, man. Just talk to me.”
At the time of the injury, Thomas was having a decent season with 39 receptions for 448 yards and a touchdown. He was on pace for a little over 800 receiving yards but definitely could’ve hit over 1,000 yards if he had a couple of big games later in the season.
We’ll have to see where their relationship goes from here.
