After signing DeAndre Hopkins, this could spell the end for veteran free agent wide receiver Nelson Agholor this offseason. According to sources, the Ravens have found their third receiver to complement Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Baltimore finally has some new life for quarterback Lamar Jackson’s passing game after failing to bring anything out of Diontae Johnson since trading for him in hopes of repairing the offense. However, the Ravens are heading in a different direction so Agholor who is still on the market should receive interest from several suitors on a bargain deal.
Originally selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the former USC product became one of the most consistent weapons for former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. However, his production has been falling since 2019 so the team let him test the waters in the market and he signed a one-year deal with the Raiders. The tenure didn’t last long until he worse with the New England Patriots offensive system, but he found some life back with the Ravens since signing one-year deals for the past two seasons. Agholor probably won’t come back considering the team will draft a new wideout and Hopkins is his temporary replacement.

Possible Next Teams
Dallas Cowboys
After trading for cornerback Kaiir Elam, the Dallas Cowboys are making some aggressive moves. However, they have yet to address the wide receiver position. CeeDee Lamb is the only superstar on that roster and while they are in the mix for Cooper Kupp, they are probably out of range of his price since there are suitors. Agholor is a realistic signing for the Cowboys who are bargain shopping this offseason.
Kansas City Chiefs
Meanwhile, the Chiefs are in the same boat even though they re-signed Marquise Brown after the Xavier Worthy legal problems. Rashee Rice is returning to the lineup but they need a capable WR4 to help the backend of his depth chart. After losing Justin Watson, Nelson might be in his prime but a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes could bring out the best in him.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints lost Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency after a temporary 2024 campaign even though he did show some promise. Perhaps, they could do the same with Nelson Agholor in their salary cap situation. Chris Olave could request a trade if the Saints don’t improve while that would leave Rashid Shaheed as somewhat of a reliable playmaker. Agholor won’t exceed 1,000 yards but it gives Derek Carr another weapon in the aerial attack.
Los Angeles Chargers
The same case can be said about the Chargers but they have money to burn. They’ve yet to find a capable wideout other than Ladd McConkey who is entering his second year this season. Jalen Reagor coming back won’t solve all their problems but a weapon like Agholor could be a fit since they don’t expect to bring back DJ Chark. Quentin Johnston is slowly depleting so it gives Justin Herbert at least two capable receivers to catch the ball.
Washington Commanders
Washington is putting the pieces of the puzzle this offseason after trading for Deebo Samuel and re-signing Zach Ertz on another one-year deal. However, since Dyami Brown is gone, they could be in the market for a new wideout in the draft. Perhaps, since the Commanders have cap space, they could afford a veteran signing like Agholor as their temporary WR3.
