Cameron Jordan has more sacks than any other player in New Orleans Saints history. While that’s part of what makes him a legend and one of the best players in team history, he’s one of the most beloved players for what he does off the field.
He’s flashed his great personality through quotes in the media and actions in the community. On Thursday, Jordan was recognized with the Bart Starr award for the player who “best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field, and in the community.”
Drew Brees and Demario Davis have also won this award during their time with the Saints.
Jordan can be seen making regular appearances at schools during the season. He partners with Youth Empowerment Project and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America through his Cam Jordan Foundation.
Now that he’s selected, Jordan will formally be given this award at the NFL’s Super Bowl Breakfast on Feb. 8. It’ll be in New Orleans, so he won’t have to go far.
