Last in the division may have some benefits.
The New Orleans Saints 2024 season has officially ended, and now that the division standings are solidified, some schedule changes have occurred. If the Saints had won against the Buccaneers, 3 of their 2025 opponents would have been the Packers, Jaguars, and Cowboys. Now, with their loss and dropping to last place in the division, the Saints will be facing the Bears, Titans, and Giants.
Next season the #Saints will play the Falcons, Buccaneers, Panthers, Cardinals, 49ers, Patriots, Jets and Giants at home and the Falcons, Buccaneers, Panthers, Bills, Rams, Dolphins, Seahawks, Bears and Titans on the road. pic.twitter.com/wrPeDjnGyZ

Finishing in last place in the division is never a good thing, but sometimes taking the positives from a situation is best and not having to play the Packers next season is a very positive thing. The Saints have not had the greatest luck recently when facing Green Bay, and now, next year’s regular season schedule becomes a little bit easier. This will be very important for the new Saints head coach’s first year with the team, whoever that may be.
