I know team goals haven’t necessarily panned out this year, but you were out there putting up big numbers. I think you had 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in the fourth quarter. The people who showed up looked delighted to see it. You had a lot of emotion. Could you take us through the significance of this final stretch and how it relates to your future? Zion Williamson: This is when it comes down to being a pro and deciding what you want to get out of it. We talked about it as a team. The season hasn’t gone the way we wanted, but that doesn’t mean we can’t build into something for next year—build better habits. Like I said, it’s about consistency. When we take a lead, we have to maintain it instead of just being front-runners. How we lock into the scouting report, how we function as a team—all of that matters. We’ve got to build on that. When summer comes, we need to stick together, and by the time the season starts, we’ll be locked in and ready to go.

This is the best Zion has looked physically since at least 2021. Can’t jump as high as back then, but he looks really explosive with the ball. – 4:04 AM

CJ McCollum on what he saw during Zion’s second #NBA triple-double of 22 pts, 10 reb, 12 ast (also 6/6 FTs): “Aggression. Getting downhill. Rebounding allows him to get out and run, push tempo. Made his free throws. All-around game where he showed why he’s the one.” – 11:17 PM

CJ McCollum with #Pelicans postgame radio on why team shot season-high 55% from three-point range (17 of 31) in win over Clippers: “We got some great looks off the catch-and-shoot. Guys set good screens. Zion demands a crowd, so there are a lot of people around him at all times.” – 11:13 PM
