New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson says he feels good enough to play in back-to-back games. However, Williamson is going along with the team’s plan to only play in one end of two-game sets.
“Let me make this clear to everybody out there. If I could play in the back-to-backs, I would. Physically? Yes, I can. But I work for the Pelicans. They have decided that, based off the numbers, it’s not smart to do that right now,” Williamson said. “If that’s what they feel, I’m rocking with them on that.”
Williamson has appeared in 13 games this season. His availability has been spotty since returning from a hamstring injury. The Pelicans have been careful with their star forward, as to not see Williamson reinjure his hamstring and miss another long stretch of games.
