Zion Williamson arrived at the arena today and told Pelicans staffers about the right hamstring tightness. Seems up in the air as to whether he’ll play against the Hawks since he’s getting evaluated at this very moment. – 5:18 PM

I can’t believe it, India whitewashed at home by New Zealand. Instant pressure now on Gautam Gambhir.
18 consecutive series streak is over in the most humbling manner. Kiwis were brilliant, and to do it without Kane Williamson is special.

Ingram on Zion Williamson (34 points, 10 assists vs. Pacers): “He had to get his rhythm back, being out (vs. Chicago in the opener), coming back from being sick… He got to the rim, found his teammates, and it was a beautiful game for him.” – 11:36 PM

New Orleans struggled in close games last season to such an extent that when Zion Williamson was told #Pelicans had 14-15 record in clutch games, Zion responded that he thought it was “more like 5-30.” Pels won both clutch games so far in 2024-25 (tonight + Ingram GW at Portland) – 11:28 PM

Now, the only way to save this season is by relying on the star duo who may have been broken up months ago if the front office had its way. If those two can keep tapping into whatever they discovered on Friday night, it’ll be intriguing to see if it affects how those two are viewed and how the front office potentially views the future – with or without them together. “People always try to tell us that we can’t hoop together,” Williamson said of Ingram during his on-court, postgame interview. “Me and him just want to have fun and make it happen. That’s what basketball is all about.” -via New York Times / November 2, 2024
