The New Orleans Pelicans could be moving closer to a trade of Brandon Ingram, sources tell Sam Amick of The Athletic. The Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks are described as “neck-and-neck” in their talks for Ingram.
Ingram is on a $36 million expiring contract and has been unable to get anywhere close to an extension with the Pelicans.
Ingram has appeared in 18 games this season and is averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 33.1 minutes. Ingram is shooting 37.4 percent on a career high 6.4 three-point attempts per game.
