Yossi Gozlan: “I mentioned in my Pelicans video from earlier in the offseason how I think it’s just a matter of time before they do something with CJ McCollum. As we’re getting to the end of his contract, it’ll be a little easier to trade him. I just think that it might not happen this trade deadline. It’ll probably be a little easier once he’s actually expiring in the offseason, especially at his $30 million number. Whoever takes him has to be prepared for him to be earning that much in a potential reserve role. Because if the Pelicans were completely healthy this year, he would probably be coming off the bench. But whatever the Pelicans end up doing, whether they move Zion or Ingram or CJ or anybody, I do not expect them to want to enter a full rebuild.”
