Just keep stringing together Ws
Thanks to a season-best 19 points by true freshman guard Vyctorius Miller, LSU rallied to beat Charleston Southern 77-68 and improve to 4-0 on the season.
“First thing is that it starts off in practice,” Miller said. “I feel like I’ve been stacking great days in practice. Then, it leads out onto the court. My teammates build confidence in me and they know what I can do. So, it’s been easy.”
Absolutely INSANE Play

Charleston Southern made things a little uncomfortable for LSU in the first half as the Bucs went into the break with a 34-29 lead. CSU’s Daylen Berry came out hot with 13 points and the Bucs were more aggressive on the glass with 26 rebounds to LSU’s 20.
LSU’s offense woke up in a big way in the second half as the Tigers shot 63 percent from the floor. LSU’s lead three guards all had big halves: Jordan Sears had 12 points, Dji Bailey had 11, and Cam Carter had nine.
I can’t say enough about Vyctorius Miller,” Matt McMahon said. “I thought he really carried us in the first half. We probably would have been down 15 at the half without him on the floor. I thought he did a lot of great things and then I thought Jordan Sears and Dji Bailey were terrific in the second-half but it’s good win we’ll take it.”
LSU and CSU traded buckets in the second half, but the Tigers erupted for a 14-0 run over a six minute stretch to grab a firm 70-58 lead with 3:43 to play in the game.

LSU is now off to West Virginia to partake in the Greenbrier Tip-Off. They’ll play Pitt on Friday (1:30 P.M., CBS Sports) and they’ll play either #19 Wisconsin or UCF on Sunday. If LSU beats Pitt they’ll play at 4:30 on Sunday in the championship game, and if they lose they’ll play at 2:00 in the consolation game.
This weekend will be a really good opportunity to bolster its early-season résumé, especially if they can beat Pitt and Wisconsin. Pitt is 5-0 and currently ranked 16th according to KenPom, while the Badgers, also 5-0, is sitting at 39th in KenPom. It’s never too early to pick up some Quad 1 wins, and LSU will have the chance to snag two this weekend.
