Back to the drawing board for me and the Tigers.
The LSU Tigers face a a downtrodden yet game Florida Gators side and this one will be a complicated visit for the Tigers.
After that humiliation last week vs. Bama, the Tigers have to come out swinging in this one right? Even the live tiger (who was from Florida) couldn’t save them. At least it didn’t escape…
From third down efficacy, player props, team defense/offense numbers and more, we will have a little bit of everything as we roll on this season.
Last season we ended with a positive record (2022: 19-17, 2023: 19-17) and we will look to do so once more. We went 1-2 in a cruel twist as Nuss Buss failed us at home and are reminded of the narrow margins that win you money in the betting world as we move on to this week. (12-15 in 2024)
Today, we take a look at predicting three specific areas for the team. Remember these are bold predictions. (All stats via CFBSTATS)
1 Kyren Lacy OVER 70.5 Yards (-110, DKSB)
Back the receiver this time. Nussmeier has to go to him early and often and he can feast in this one. Last week was bad for frankly, everyone so here we can have a chance at redemption. Big Lacy game and big Nuss Buss game, let’s get it!
It’s primed for a win here and the Tigers will need him to be the man on Saturday in hostile territory.
A good chance for Lacy to get some yards and really be explosive from the first drive.

2 UNDER 55.5 Game Total (-105, DKSB)
DJ Lagway is back for the Gators, but they are so beat up just about everywhere and I can’t see LSU scoring more than 30 so this has all the makings of a lower and more fair score.
Lots of injuries on both sides and the models have the LSU favored here even on the road, 57-43 at ESPN’s FPI, but still this has just the recipe for a pretty mid game all things considered and that makes me favor the under.
Which means it’ll be a shootout and I’ll be wrong again…
3 LSU -3.5 Full Game (-105, ESPNBET)
I’m backing the Tigers. They have to come out firing vs. this Gator side and not let the crowd get in to this one early. This one could be Brian Kelly’s turning point given he has found life in the Bayou much m ore difficult than he and maybe most of LSU fans initially believed. He has to win this one.
Back Nuss and the boys and hope Kelly can light something under this team for the end of the season. If not, who knows how long he’ll last.
Final score prediction: LSU 27-17 Florida
That will do it for this week’s very specific predictions. Let us know what you think and give us some of your own!
