A really tough match up after an exhausting yet satisfying win!
The LSU Tigers face a tough test away in the SEC, this time around they face the Arkansas Razorbacks, who are off a tremendous win.
The Tigers will look to better last time out’s win vs. Ole Miss, and could maybe make it run of wins after the debacle in Las Vegas.
From third down efficacy, player props, team defense/offense numbers and more, we will have a little bit of everything as we roll on this season.
Last season we ended with a positive record (2022: 19-17, 2023: 19-17) and we will look to do so once more. We went 2-1 and another positive week as we move on to this week. (9-9 in 2024)
Today, we take a look at predicting three specific areas for the team. Remember these are bold predictions. (All stats via CFBSTATS)
1 Garrett Nussmeier OVER 295.5 Passing Yards
Hop on the Nuss Buss. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Expect a lot of throwing. LSU will need its star QB entering hostile territory and this is where careers can get made and this is a great opportunity to let it rip. This one has only missed once this season and while last week was squeaky close, I don’t think that’ll be the case this week.

2 LSU -2.5 (-110, via DKSB)
LSU coming off an emotional win is usually a let down spot as we see all over the college football landscape. However, Arkansas is also coming off a similar highly octane fueled win and could also be somewhat drained. That’s why I like the QB here in this matchup with better skill players to end up ahead and with this spread under a field goal we will take it, full game.
Lots of injuries on both sides and the models have the Tigers favored, 68-32 at ESPN’s FPI, still this has just the recipe for a fun close game and all we need is a field goal plus win.
Make this an satisfying win and the continuation of wins!
3 Josh Williams OVER 25.5 Yards Rushing (+110, ESPNBET)
A bit of injury concerns, some hopeful usage and a lot of promise has me taking this alternate rushing totals. Give him 7+ rushes and I like this one to hit as he could be a change of pace back and has had success in that role. We just need him to hit his averages and it’s why I’m taking it;
This should be a very attainable one based on possible usage and because of that we will take it.
Final score prediction: LSU 31-27 Ole Miss
That will do it for this week’s very specific predictions. Let us know what you think and give us some of your own!
