What a game Saturday night in Death Valley!
The LSU Tigers face a a new look Alabama and this one will be at home, at night in Death Valley!
The Tigers will look to better last time out’s loss vs. a tough Aggie side, where they looked really lackluster and that makes this game a must win for not only the team, but head coach Brian Kelly as well.
From third down efficacy, player props, team defense/offense numbers and more, we will have a little bit of everything as we roll on this season.
Last season we ended with a positive record (2022: 19-17, 2023: 19-17) and we will look to do so once more. We went 1-2 yet again and are reminded of the narrow margins that win you money in the betting world as we move on to this week. (11-13 in 2024)
Today, we take a look at predicting three specific areas for the team. Remember these are bold predictions. (All stats via CFBSTATS)
1 The Live Tiger Escapes +10000
1 Garrett Nussmeier OVER 285.5 Passing Yards
Some habits die hard and this is one of them, I’m taking this again. Expect a lot of throwing. LSU will need its star QB at home in the weekend’s premier match up and this is where careers can get made and this is a great opportunity to let it rip. It’s hit in all but two and damn will we need it Saturday.
It’s primed for a win here and the Tigers will need him to be A1 on Saturday, so why not roll with this one.
A fun match up with hopefully high powered offenses going at it.

2 UNDER 29.5 First Half Total (-110, via DKSB)
While I like the offenses to take charge here, this total is way too high! A solid 14-10 halftime score seems most likely and the way this season has broken out, even with the idle week, I expect some getting adjusted and that could be the recipe for a 1H under.
Lots of injuries on both sides and the models have the Bama favored big, 47-52 at ESPN’s FPI, but still this has just the recipe for a fun close game and makes me favor the under.
It should be a great game and the offense will come for both in the second half
3 LSU +4 ALT LINE (-130, ESPNBET)
I’m backing the Tigers. Offenses have been able to score on them (See, Vanderbilt) and I believe the Tigers can as well. This will come down to a field goal and that’s all we need here. A close rivalry game seems more likely than a TD+ win for either side especially with the Tigers at home.
Back Nuss and the boys and hope Kelly can coach better than Bama’s HC.
Final score prediction: LSU 30-27 Alabama
That will do it for this week’s very specific predictions. Let us know what you think and give us some of your own!
