SECBasketballFever is coming
On Tuesday the SEC announced the opponents for both the 2024-25 men and women’s basketball season. The league will announce dates, tipoff times, and television information for these games at a later date.
On the men’s side, all schools will play 18 games, with conference play beginning January 4 and running through March 8. Every school will play the other 15 at least once; there will be three schools who play each other a second time—there will be two permanent opponents and the third will be a rotating opponent.
The men’s SEC Tournament will once again be played in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena. The tournament runs from March 12 through March 16.
LSU’s 2024-25 opponents are as follows:
Home: Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt
Away: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M
As for the women’s games, teams will once again play 16 games. There will be one rotating opponent, and LSU’s rotating opponent will be Tennessee. The schedule makers certainly didn’t do Kim Mulkey and LSU any favors. LSU will have to go to both South Carolina and Texas next season.
The women’s SEC Tournament will be played in Greensville and run from March 5 through 9.
