A thin defensive line just got thinner
For the second week in a row, LSU is apparently losing a veteran piece for the rest of the 2024 season.
Fifth year senior defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory has reportedly ruptured his Achilles and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season. LSU Odyssey’s Lon Phillips had it first.
Guillory left Saturday’s win over Nicholls in the first half. He left the game with his leg in a cast and in a wheelchair.
If this is true this is about as devastating an injury as LSU could have. Defensive line was already a thin group heading into 2024, and now it appears LSU will be without its most veteran piece. Now they’ll have to rely on inexperienced pieces like JUCO transfer Shone Washington and true freshman Dom McKinley to shoulder most of the load up front.
