Another week, a whole lot more TDs
Week 4 of the NFL season provided LSU fireworks for the fourth week in a row. While nothing topped the Heisman Bowl, almost every game featured some action. Let’s break it all down.
Cowboys 20 at Giants 15
Malik Nabers continued to shine with 12 catches for 115 yards. Look at this graphic. It’s beautiful.

He left the game late with an injury, but hopefully he can heal up during the long week. I shudder to imagine how bad this Giants offense would be without him.
Damone Clark played, but did not record a tackle. Cor’Dale Flott has four tackles and two nice pass breakups.
NFLSU Score: 7/10
Bengals 34 at Panthers 24
Folks… the Cincinnati Bengals won a football game. Joe Burrow was his classic self going 22/31 for 232 yards with 2 TDs and one interception. Ja’Marr Chase caught three of those passes for 85 yards, most of which on this unbelievable touchdown.
OH MY JA’MARR CHASE. ELECTRIC 63-YARD TD.

While we’re happy for Joe and Ja’Marr, let’s be real… the Panthers only lost because Damien Lewis was out.
On a serious note, this past week was a tough one for North Carolina. Below is a long thread of resources you can donate to to help the folks hit hard by Hurricane Helene.

Four Vikings games, four Vikings wins, four Justin Jefferson TDs.

Jets finished with six catches for 85 yards, which might seem average for him, but there were some unbelievable grabs and toe taps in this one. If you’re not satisfied, you have Ed Ingram blocking and Jay Ward playing special teams.
NFLSU Score: 7/10
Broncos 10 at Jets 9
No Tigers were active, but the Broncos did sign Kwon Alexander to their practice squad, so shoutout to them for inching closer to fixing their Tiger-less roster. Jarrick Bernard-Converse was inactive, so thankfully no Tigers were on the field for this wretched game.
NFLSU Score: 0/10
Saints 24 at Falcons 26
For the first time all season, Tyrann Mathieu did not force a turnover. He was sidelined with an injury late, like most of the Saints. Foster Moreau blocked.
NFLSU Score: 4/10
Jaguars 20 at Texans 24
The Jaguars still have a lot to work out. Brian Thomas Jr. is not one of them.

BTJ caught six passes for 86 yards, and this TD may have been the least remarkable one. He also carried the ball once for 13 yards and a first down. Much like Nabers, I can’t fathom how ugly that offense would be without him.
On the Houston side, Derek Stingley Jr. had four tackles and two pass breakups, one of which was on a third down in the end zone that ended up being the difference in the game. Danielle Hunter had two tackles and Maason Smith had three.
NFLSU Score: 8/10
Eagles 16 at Buccaneers 33
“Well between Ja’Marr, Justin and BTJ that is surely all the LSU wide receivers who scored touchdowns this week, right?” -a fool who does not respect Trey Palmer’s game.
Baker to Trey Palmer! Bucs go up 14-0.

Palmer finished with 3 catches for 26 yards.

Steelers 24 at Colts 27
Patrick Queen had 7 tackles and Donte Jackson had 3 with a pass breakup.
NFLSU Score: 4/10
Rams 18 at Bears 24
Tre’Davious White had one tackle.

Jayden Daniels is officially making it look too easy.

Jayden was an absurd 26/30 for 233 yards with 1 TD and an interception while running for 47 yards and another TD on 8 carries. He has not just been the best rookie QB so far, he is arguably playing QB better than anyone else in the league right now.
Jayden Daniels doesn’t just lead all rookies in EPA; he leads the entire NFL.

Matt House will not see the gates of Heaven.
NFLSU Score: 8/10 (only because they keep handing the ball of to non-LSU RBs for so many of these TDs, Jayden has been 10/10 entertainment so far)
Patriots 13 at 49ers 30
Kayshon Boutte caught one pass for 11 yards. Davon Godchaux had four tackles.
NFLSU Score: 3/10
Browns 16 at Raiders 20
Grant Delpit had five tackles. Ethan Pocic left with an injury and the Browns offense became even more wretched.
NFLSU Score: 3/10
Chiefs 17 at Chargers 10
Look! Kristian Fulton interception! But don’t watch the end!

The Chargers recovered so it was fine. What they did not recover was the blown lead. But they should get DJ Chark back this week and the Chiefs will also get Clyde Edwards-Helaire back. Reinforcements on the way!
NFLSU Score: 4/10
Bills 10 at Ravens 35
Reid Ferguson long snapped, mostly on punts sadly.
NFLSU Score: 1/10
Titans 31 at Dolphins 12
The bad weekend for the Ferguson brothers continues, but at least Blake made a tackle! Duke Riley made four, Arden Key made one and recovered a fumble. He probably would’ve run it back for a touchdown if an erroneous whistle wasn’t blown.

Jamal Adams and Lloyd Cushenberry III also played. Very funny that in one of the best top-to-bottom weeks of NFLSU this garbage game had the most LSU players.
NFLSU Score: 5/10
Seahawks 29 at Lions 42
Anthony Bradford blocked Mekhi Wingo. Neither recorded stats but outside of that the game was pretty great!
