Putting the L in LSU this week
Last weekend was tough for the current LSU Tigers as well as a bunch of former ones. Still, there were some fun highlights and big plays. Let’s break it all down game-by-game.
Commanders 18 at Eagles 26
While he didn’t have a bad game, Jayden Daniels was pretty effectively bottled up in his first big prime time NFC East matchup. JD was 22/32 for 191 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. He was also held to 18 yards on 7 rushes. Phenom rookies will always hit a wall once defenses start to figure them out, so there’s no need to panic, there are still plenty of highlights to come. But Jayden really needs some better receivers next year.
NFLSU Score: 5/10
Ravens 16 at Steelers 18
In his first game against his former team Patrick Queen had a team-high 10 tackles. He also forced and recovered a fumble right before halftime which led to a field goal that was the difference in the game. Donte Jackson played, but did not record a stat. In his first game as a Raven Tre’Davious White had two pass breakup, including a big one in the end zone to prevent a TD.

Jaguars 6 at Lions 52
Brian Thomas Jr. caught five passes for 82 yards. Jordan Jefferson had three tackles. Are you surprised Matt House’s new team is doing this?
NFLSU Score: 4/10
Rams 28 at Patriots 22
Kayshon Boutte caught four passes for 33 yards. Omar Speights had six tackles and Davon Godchaux had two.
NFLSU Score: 5/10
Browns 14 at Saints 35
In the battle of No. 7 safeties, Grant Delpit won the stat battle but Tyrann Mathieu won the game. Delpit had a team-high nine tackles with a pass breakup, while Mathieu had five tackles. That Delpit PBU was very nearly an interception until Foster Moreau remembered he went to DBU and made a play on the ball that would’ve been a flag if he was an actual defender. Moreau had a great game on offense too, catching three passes for 50 yards. Ethan Pocic blocked.
NFLSU Score: 6/10
Colts 28 at Jets 27
Jalen Mills had six tackles.
NFLSU Score: 2/10

We do not care about this either.

Seahawks 20 at 49ers 17
Anthony Bradford blocked, so we care about this one.
NFLSU Score: 1/10
Chiefs 21 at Bills 30
Reid Ferguson long-snapped. Y’all finally took an L, Chiefs. It’s time to play Clyde. You need good vibes again.
NFLSU Score: 1/10
Bengals 27 at Chargers 34
Yet again… our boys are innocent. The whole world got to see Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase put on a show again, only for the Bengals’ defense and special teams to blow it. Joe was 28/50 for 356 yards with 3 TDs and no INTs. He should be MVP front runner but instead has the same record as the Saints.
Joe Burrow has 3,028 passing yards, 27 TDs and 4 INTs this season.
The #Bengals are 4-7.
Make it make sense.

Ja’Marr Chase caught 7 passes for 75 yards and 2 TDs (somehow all down from last week lol) and the last one came in spectacular fashion.
BURROW. CHASE.
WE ARE TIED.

You know they were locked in when Joe hit ‘em with the pops mid-play.

Anyway it really sucks that after losing Joe’s very hyped 2023 to injury only for him to bounce back and play better than he ever has before, the Bengals completely throw it away. And despite the offensive success, he’s STILL getting hit like crazy. At least he got paid. We better be able to say the same for Ja’Marr this offseason.
As for the winning team, Kristian Fulton had a great game with two tackles and three pass breakups, a few of them big ones in crunch time. Did he get burned by Ja’Marr a few times? Sure, but who doesn’t?
NFLSU Score: 8/10
Texans 34 at Cowboys 10
Derek Stingley Jr. went eight straight games without an interception. Way too many, let’s see one!

Sting almost got his hands on a few more, having two pass breakups to go along with his two tackles. Danielle Hunter had three tackles, two of them sacks. Devin White had four tackles.
