Lots of faces in lots of places
Football is back!…well, kind of.
Training camps for all 32 teams across the NFL are in full swing and on Thursday we have the annual Hall of Fame Game as the Bears will play the Texans in Canton. Starting on Thursday we’ll have some type of football on our screens every week for the next 26 weeks.
LSU is once again well represented across the NFL and we’ve got lots of old faces in new places. Here’s a list of where our former Tigers are at these days.
Arizona Cardinals
- BJ Ojulari is the lone former Tiger currently with the Cardinals. Ojulari gave up his #18 jersey to Marvin Harrison Jr., the team’s first round draft pick back in April. And if you know anything about the Harrison family, giving them whatever they want is the smartest thing you could do. Ojulari will wear 9 this season.
Buffalo Bills
- Reid Ferguson has some former LSU teammates joining him in Buffalo this year! Spring was a busy time for the Bills as they signed La’el Collins, Will Clapp, and Debo Jones and all three played will Ferguson for multiple years back in the day. It’s just like old times!
Carolina Panthers
- The Panthers enter 2024 as probably the worst team in the NFL for a second year in a row but if you’re an LSU fan in the Charlotte area at least you’ve got some Tigers to pull for? This might be a make-or-break year for Terrace Marshall Jr. Apparently Marshall asked for a trade in the offseason and there weren’t any takers out there. Ouch. Marshall has reportedly had a good start to training camp, but we’ve heard this story for a couple summers in a row. His professional future might count on having a strong 2024.
- Marshall will be joined in Carolina by two of his 2019 teammates. K’Lavon Chaisson came over after Jacksonville didn’t pick up his fifth year option, and Damien Lewis got a big ole bag of money to try and help keep Bryce Young upright.
- Stephen Sullivan and Badara Traore are here too. Go get those checks
Chicago Bears
- Once again Micah Baskerville is our lone Tiger currently with the Bears.

- Ja’Marr Chase is in a bit of a contract dispute with the Bengals as he enters his fourth year as a professional. Chase is at camp but hasn’t been participating. Surely the notoriously well run and not cheap Bengals will pay one of the best receivers in the game right?
Bengals President Mike Brown on a potential contract extension for WR Ja’Marr Chase: “It’s not so likely that this is the good time to negotiate. The offseason is a better time for that and we’re going to try to keep focused on the football part. I’m not going to rule anything… pic.twitter.com/9YDdHX37ja

- Noah Cain is also in camp trying to make the roster as an undrafted free agent.
Cleveland Browns
- Another year in Cleveland for Grant Delpit and Ethan Pocic.
- Cade York is back in Cleveland for a second chance with the Browns after he was let go last season. York finished up the 2023 season with the Titans.
Dallas Cowboys
- Another year in Dallas for Damone Clark and Racey McMath.
Detroit Lions
- Mekhi Wingo went a lot later in the draft than anyone would have expected (6th round) but it looks like he went to a really good spot with Detroit. I can’t believe I typed those words either.
Houston Texans
- Derek Stingley Jr. had a good sophomore season in Houston and showed why he was the third pick in the draft a couple of seasons ago. Hopefully he’ll have another productive and healthy season for a Texan team that everyone’s got their eyes on.
- Jacob Phillips will join Stingley in Houston after four years in Cleveland
Jacksonville Jaguars
- The Jags loved LSU so much they took three Tigers in this year’s draft: Brian Thomas, Maason Smith, and Jordan Jefferson
Kansas City Chiefs
- Clyde Edwards-Helaire didn’t get his fifth year option picked up by the Chiefs, but KC went ahead and signed him to a one-year deal anyway. No matter what happens for the rest of his career, Clyde will always be a two-time Super Bowl champ and we’ll see if the Chiefs can make it three in a row.
- Neil Farrell is also still with the champs after a midseason trade from the Raiders last year.
Los Angeles Chargers
- The new-look Chargers signed DJ Chark and Kristian Fulton this offseason. Fulton was able to snag LA’s No. 7 jersey even though Chark wore 7 at LSU.
Los Angeles Rams
- After seven years with the Bills, Tre’Davious White is heading west to play for the Rams in 2024. White signed a one-year deal in April. White’s 2023 season came to an early end as he tore his Achilles in week four.
- Omar Speights is also trying to make the team as an undrafted free agent.
Miami Dolphins
- I’m not sure how much gas is left in the tank, but Odell Beckham Jr. signed with the Dolphins in May. He’ll join his former LSU teammates Blake Ferguson and Duke Riley in South Beach.
Minnesota Vikings
- Here’s hoping Justin Jefferson has a healthy 2024 season after missing time last season. Jefferson signed the richest non-QB deal in NFL history back in June.
- Jaquelin Roy, Ed Ingram, and Jay Ward are all back for another year in Minnesota.
New England Patriots
- Charles Turner is trying to make the new-look Patriots as an undrafted free agent.
- Davon Godchaux is still here.
New Orleans Saints
- First of all: fire Dennis Allen.
- Second of all: Tyrann Mathieu and Foster Moreau are back for their third and second seasons respectively in the black and gold
New York Giants
- Malik Nabers has to wear 9 because the Giants still unfortunately employ Daniel Jones. Even worse for Nabers is Jones will be his QB1.
- But maybe Cordale Flott and Jalen Mills will get lots of practice intercepting Jones in camp that they each end up having 20 INTs this season.
New York Jets
- Today I learned that Austin Deculus was waived by Houston and signed by the Jets last November but didn’t record any snaps. Hopefully that changes in 2024 and hopefully being around weirdo Aaron Rodgers doesn’t change Deculus.
- Jarrick Bernard-Converse is entering his second season with the Jets. I think LSU wins the national championship if JBC is on the roster in 2023.
Philadelphia Eagles
- After a really strong beginning to his career, things ended less than amicably between Devin White and Tampa Bay. White wanted a big-time extension but Tampa was unwilling to give him the money, and now White is on a one-year prove it deal with the Eagles. I hope he gets it.
- Mekhi Garner is entering his second season with Philly. I think LSU wins the national championship if Garner’s on the the roster in 2023.
- Good for Andre’ Sam for getting a camp invite. I’d love to see him make the roster.
- Ty Davis-Price left a crowded 49ers backfield and will hopefully get to be the pimary backup to the newly signed Saquon Barkley.
Pittsburgh Steelers
- As of this writing it looks like the Steelers are the smartest team in the NFL as they have a league-best five Tigers in camp, highlighted by former Raven Patrick Queen. Queen is staying within the division and will try to give his old team two doses of revenge a year.
- Jaray Jenkins signed with the Steelers in June. Jenkins caught two passes last preseason with the Jags but didn’t make the team.
- Tory Carter sighting!
- On the other side of the ball Donte Jackson and Brieden Fehoko are both in camp. Jackson was traded to Pittsburgh from Carolina in March.
- One name currently not with the Steelers or any team for that matter is Patrick Peterson. Peterson spent 2023 with the Steelers but has yet to find a team for 2024. The now 34-year-old Peterson is adamant about wanting to play this season and he’s reportedly hoping to re-up with Pittsburgh.
Seattle Seahawks
- Anthony Bradford is back for a second season with Seattle but is currently on the PUP list.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- All we’ve got in Tampa is Russell Gage though I guess we can still claim Trey Palmer?
Tennessee Titans
- Lloyd Cushenberry signed a four-year $50 million deal with the Titans to be their new starting center. Good for him!
- Arden Key is still here.
- Jamal Adams is hoping to revitalize his career in Music City.
- Same goes for Saahdiq Charles.
Washington Commanders
- The No. 2 overall pick and reigning Heisman winner Jayden Daniels enters his rookie season as Washington’s next great hope. I want nothing but the absolute best for That Kid Jayden.
- Oh look Jabril Cox is here too.
