It’s gotta be the hair
Stop me when you’ve heard this one before: Monster Milam walked it off against a team from South Carolina.
Steven Milam homered twice, including the game winner in LSU’s Chapel Hill Region opening win over Wofford. LSU rallied from down 3-1 in the 8th to win 4-3.

The Terriers definitely put a scare into the Tigers on Friday. Wofford scored a pair of runs in the second inning and hit what felt like a back-breaking solo shot off of Gage Jump in the eighth to push its lead to 3-1.
Despite giving up three runs, Jump was pretty strong for LSU. The lefty went 7.1 innings and struck out nine, but got little to no run support from the Tiger offense.
Milam’s first homer came in the seventh to give LSU its first run of the day. Up until that point, LSU had only managed two hits but Monster changed that with one blast off the scoreboard.

The game changed in the eighth inning. Trailing 3-1, Michael Braswell went deep to left to get LSU back within a run. Tommy White popped out, but Bear Jones tied the game with a blast to right centerfield.

Griffin Herring came on in the ninth inning and struck out the side.
The Tigers will play in the winner’s bracket game on Saturday against the winner of No. 1 North Carolina vs. No. 4 Long Island later today. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 P.M.
