Relive some of the best moments of this past year
It’s the slowest time of the summer and that means the annual SEC Network takeover for all 16 (gross) SEC schools is underway.
If this is somehow your first SEC Network takeover, PodKatt laid it out what to expect almost seven years ago.
As has become an annual tradition, the SEC Network is once again filling the dead time between the end of SEC Media days and the start of football fall camp with their “SEC Takeover” event, where each of the 14 SEC schools get a 24 hour block of programming to air whatever they wish. Teams have used this in different ways, airing replays of the best games of the previous season, historic games, SEC ESPN documentaries, or in-house productions.
The quality of this year’s slate of content is more or less the same as previous years, which is to say “fine.” Nothing will top last summer’s recap of the 2022-2023 year where you could relive LSU’s epic 32-31 OT win over Alabama, the women’s basketball national championship win over Iowa, and baseball’s run to the program’s seventh title in Omaha. But there will be some moments from the 2023-2024 year worth watching again.
