LSU was rewarded for their 44-21 win over Nicholls with two spot climb in Week 3’s AP Poll rankings, moving up from 18th to 16th.
Texas is the big winner of the week after blowing out Michigan in the Big House yesterday. Texas flipped spots with Ohio State to move up to #2, while Georgia still holds firm at #1. Alabama and Ole Miss round out the top-five. Don’t look now, but Missouri has moved up to #6 and Tennessee is up to #7 after blowing out NC State 51-10.
The biggest loser in this week’s poll is Notre Dame who dropped 13 spots from #5 to #18 after losing at home to Northern Illinois 16-14. Michigan dropped seven spots to #17. Oregon dropped two spots from 7th to 9th as the Ducks continue to play with their food. Oregon just barely held off Boise 37-34 in Eugene last night.
