Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has a special homecoming tonight, as the Baltimore native is back in familiar territory to take on the Washington Mystics.
There are probably a lot of familiar local faces in the building tonight for Reese, as well as at least one who made the trip from Baton Rouge.
LSU head coach Kim Mulkey is at Capital One Arena to watch her former star forward take aim at her third double-double of the season. Mulkey has consistent in her support of Reese over the years.
“When she came here, she said she wanted to be here for two seasons and she has lived up to that. What a remarkable two years it has been,” Mulkey said in April, via The Daily Advertiser. “We are all indebted to Angel Reese for the contributions she has given to this program, helping us win our first National Championship, and the contributions she made on our university as a whole.”

Reese, who is averaging 10.9 points and 9.0 rebounds per game so far, is doing her part tonight. She’s got eight points and seven rebounds in 14 first half minutes.
Unfortunately, the Sky find themselves down 10 late in the first half to the winless Mystics, who are being paced tonight by their own standout rookie, Aaliyah Edwards.
Reese, who has been wearing customized Reebok Solutions all season long, is donning a pair tonight that honors her Baltimore and DMV roots.
