Tigers keep a Baton Rouge area prospect home
Saturday was of course an awesome day for LSU as the Tigers beat Ole Miss 29-26 in overtime, but the program got some good news hours before kickoff ever happened.
Four-star safety Jacob Bradford announced he would be committing to LSU. Bradford is a high three-star/low four-star prospect depending on which recruiting service you subscribe to. Listed at 5’11” and 195 pounds, Bradford is the No. 14 prospect in the state of Louisiana and plays right here in Baton Rouge at Catholic.
Bradford had been previously committed to Houston, but backed off that pledge this past Thursday. Now, barely 48 hours after decommitting from Houston, Bradford is staying home.
“LSU did an outstanding job hosting the Louisiana recruits during their official visit,” Bradford said to On3 after taking his official visit. “All the young men were familiar with one another, and the families had strong connections as well. It’s incredible to see how much elite talent is concentrated in one state.”
LSU’s 2025 recruiting class is still ranked No. 3 in the nation, trailing only Ohio State and Alabama. LSU now has 27 players committed and the addition of Bradford could lead to ripple effects down the road. Bradford’s younger brother, Blaine, is the No. 14 overall player and No. 1 safety in the 2026 class and LSU appears to be the overwhelming favorite to land him.
