The weather is breaking, bundle up and watch some football.
Crimson and Scarlet Shift
- Indiana-Ohio State: The big matchup of the day kicks off the Saturday. Indiana has built success this season by being ruthlessly efficient for a whole game, but between Ohio State’s explosive plays and (perceived) talent advantage that may be easier said that done. I think the Buckeyes walk away with a dub here, but a close loss wouldn’t be the worst thing for Indiana if it gives them insight on how to approach these types of games ahead of next month.
- Ole Miss-Florida: Given how Florida played last weekend, the Ole Miss 9.5 line seems favorable. I think this game will hinge upon the Rebel’s ability to pressure Lagway with their defensive line while dropping back in coverage.
- Yale-Harvard: Some big stakes on hand for this year’s iteration of The Game as the Crimson could win the Ivy outright with a victory.
- Sam Houston State-Jacksonville State: The Gamecocks could set up a defacto C-USA Championship against Western Kentucky game next weekend with a victory, while Sam Houston themselves could vie for a C-USA title with a win.
Roll for Conference Chaos Shift
- BYU-Arizona State: This game likely decides who will take part in the Big 12 Championship. As far as the game on-field, but teams have gotten to this point by questionable results via plenty of close calls while also missing Colorado so the game could be a mess as the two teams try to out-bullshit each other.
- Colorado-Kansas: With a win Colorado locks up an appearance in the Big 12 Title, but Kansas has quietly been vastly improving over the last month of the season and could have something for the Buffs. This game has the potential to go full tilt.
- UCF-West Virginia: It’s football, with bowl eligibility on the line for both teams.
- Pitt-llvll: Just like BYU-ASU, two chaotic teams meet, but only one’s chaos magick can prevail.
Where In The World Is Vandy Diego Shift
- Vanderbilt-LSU: Good news, LSU is playing a team with an extremely mobile playmaking QB. Just what we needed.
- Texas A&M-Auburn: This so very clearly has TRAP GAME written on it for Texas A&M I honestly kind of expect them to win by 13.
- Iowa State-Utah: The Cyclones need this game to keep their Big 12 Championship hopes alive while the Utes need it to keep their bowl eligibility hopes alive at 4-6. Something is going to give.
- Washington State-Oregon State: Of course, you have to watch the 2024 PAC-12 Championship game. Required viewing.
Robert Kekaula Memorial Shift
- Air Force-Nevada: Two very bad teams with nothing to play for meeting late at night…sounds like a blast. Can’t wait.
- Colorado State-Fresno State: The Rams can set up a date with Boise State with a win, but the Bulldogs should be good for a game here. Could be worth the watch.
- USC-UCLA: They having a mid-off.
