7’s back
After weeks of wondering, junior linebacker Harold Perkins announced his plans for 2025 in a two word response “I’m back.”

Perkins tore his ACL late in LSU’s 34-17 win over UCLA this season and many wondered if that would be last we would ever see of Perkins wearing the purple and gold. Instead, Perkins will be returning to LSU for a fourth season.
Perkins came into the 2024 season with some first round draft pick potential, and now he’ll try and recapture that with what will hopefully be a successful second season under Blake Baker. Perkins has 147 tackles, 26 TFLs and 13 sacks in three seasons with the Tigers.
If healthy, Perkins likely returns to the STAR position in 2025. He was starting to assume the position full time up until his injury, and now that both Whit Weeks and Dahvon Keys have emerged at linebacker, Perkins might finally be able to maximize his skillset.
