Let’s make it six straight over Florida, shall we

The outlook on LSU’s season has changed dramatically over the Tigers’ last six quarters of football.
Six quarters ago, LSU was the #8 team in the country; six quarters ago, LSU was up 10 points on the road at Texas A&M and on pace to be the last remaining unbeaten team in SEC play; six quarters ago, LSU had a wide open path to not just Atlanta, but possibly getting a first round bye for the College Football Playoff, or, worst case scenario, hosting a round one game in Tiger Stadium.
That was then but this is now. Since LSU went in halftime of the Texas A&M game, the Tigers have been outscored 73-19. The offense has stalled out like a car on the side of I-10, Garrett Nussmeier is giving the ball away like Mardi Gras beads, and “glaring” doesn’t begin to describe the holes LSU has at defensive tackle and safety.
That’s a long way of saying that things are pretty grim around these parts, but hey maybe some of y’all got some free drinks this week out of it?
Brian Kelly said at the top of his radio show he would buy everyone’s drinks at TJ Ribs tonight because they still came after the loss to Alabama.
Guesses on how big the tab will be?

LSU’s dreams of the playoffs technically aren’t over yet. Improbable sure, but they ain’t dead yet; and until they are officially eliminated, LSU’s still got something to play for which leads us to Saturday in The Swamp against Florida.
LSU’s won a program-best five straight against the Gators, and Brian Kelly’s 2-0 through two seasons. DJ Lagway is apparently going to give it a go against LSU and…I don’t know, man I’ve seen hamstring injuries sideline some of my favorite Pelicans players for months, and Lagway’s supposed to be good to go after two weeks?
Both sides need a win, and both sides are either bad (Florida) or broken (LSU). No idea how you make heads or tails of that, but despite the bad vibes I still think LSU pulls out a really stupid looking win.
Final Prediction: LSU 28, Florida 24
