GEAUX!!!
Three Specific Predictions: Saul Garcia
First of all, I hope everyone’s doing okay with Hurricane Francine. This was my first hurricane since moving back home to Louisiana and, thankfully, the storm was mild at best where I am. Hopefully everybody else in the ATVS community is doing okay, too.
I’m also sorry there wasn’t a Q&A segment this week. Our Carolina sister site, Garnet and Black Attack, was one of the latest SB Nation sites to get the axe over the summer and their crew has more or less scattered to the wind.
With all that being said, this week feels really important. I get that every game is important and the biggest game on the schedule is always the current week’s game, but after LSU lost to USC in Las Vegas and had a less than inspiring effort against Nicholls, the course of this 2024 season might be dictated by the result of today’s game.
Is LSU for real or not? Which South Carolina are we getting: the team who struggled against Old Dominion, or the team that beat the hell out of Kentucky last week? South Carolina has the home field advantage, but LSU, on paper at least, has the better roster and superior head coach so I’m predicting LSU escapes with an ugly win, but a win nonetheless.
Final score: LSU 34, South Carolina 30
P.S.,
If you are at Williams Brice Stadium, say hi! I’ll be with some of my friends and I’m wearing a purple/gold LSU striped polo.
