The GOAT hits the first of many Crews Missiles Wednesday evening
Folks you’re hearing it more and more these days: Washington D.C. stands for Washington Dylan Crews.
Crews got the call up to join the Nationals ahead of their three-game home series against the New York Yankees and he reached base in all three games.
Monday was the worst game of the series as Crews went 0-3 but drew a walk leading off the 4th inning to reach base for the first time in his career. Crews batted second on Monday and got the start in right field.
Tuesday was when Crews collected his first career hit. Hitting out of the 7-hole on Tuesday, Crews hit a double to left field off of Gerrit Cole.

Crews got the second hit of his Major League career his next time up thanks to an infield single. Thanks to some hustle and a throwing error by the Yankee’s catcher, Crews was able to take an extra 90 feet and advance to second base. Crews would come around to score thanks to a fielding error by another former Tiger, DJ LeMahieu. One Tiger’s gain is another Tiger’s loss or something like that.

On Monday Crews got on base for the first time in his career; on Tuesday he picked up his first hits; and Wednesday was the exclamation mark as Crews, leading off this time, hit the first of what is hopefully many Crews Missiles.

Cheers to you, Dylan. Now if you’ll excuse me I gotta head over to Fanatics and order me a Crews jersey.
UPDATE
Give Crews another two RBIs and the second double of his MLB career. Crews cleared the bases in the bottom of the fourth to score a pair of runs and push Washington’s lead to 6-1 over the Yankees.
