COMIN TO YOUR CITAAAAYYYYYYYY
For the first time since 2019, ESPN’s College Gameday is comin’ to your citay.
The folks at Gameday announced they’ll be taking their show to Baton Rouge next week for the Alabama game (6:30 P.M., ABC) and it’ll be the first time LSU’s hosted since October of 2019.
It’s not too terribly surprising considering next week’s schedule. The only other contender was going to Athens for Ole Miss-Georgia, but as well know LSU-Bama has been one of the biggest games of the college football season for the past 15 years or so. Add in the fact that it’ll be Tiger Stadium at night in a CFP elimination match and you’ve got all the ingredients needed for Corso and crew to head down here.
Who do y’all think ESPN asks to be the guest picker? The Bengals are on a bye that week so you could get Joe Burrow or Ja’Marr Chase; the Pirates season ended a month ago so maybe Paul Skenes? Livvy Dunne’s one of the biggest names in sports right now and is still with the gymnastics team so that one could work too.
Gameday will be broadcasting live at 8:00 A.M. next Saturday. Someone be a pal and grab me one of those Home Depot helmets.
